Acree provides coating services for many industries, including biomedical, aerospace, automotive and the tool industry. Acree works with both private companies and government agencies. We specialize in Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) coatings for corrosion resistance, wear resistance, optical, surface enhancement and decorative applications. In addition, Acree provides R&D services for the development of thin film coatings to meet our customers unique needs. If one of our standard coatings does not match our client's requirements, we develop a specific coating for the customer. Acree has extensive in-house material characterization capability, including nano-hardness testing, scratch adhesion testing, scanning electron microscope (SME), energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) analysis for elemental analysis, surface energy testing, optical characterization and more. Acree also offers design/build hardware solutions. We have experience creating deposition sources, plasma sources, and complete computer-controlled deposition systems. Acree can take a client through the full development cycle, from initial concept through production. This includes coating development/characterization, scaling-up to production, system design, and finally a turn-key, fully automated computer controlled deposition system for their coating. We have an excellent record of solving our customers tough technological problems.
