Anvil Works Metal Studio
Anvil Works metal studio is the personal forge and workshop of artist-blacksmith Lee W. Badger, retired from business, but not from blacksmithing, since 2022. Mr. Badger continues to pursue a variety of creative and unique personal projects combining a variety of modern and traditional metal crafts, primarily interior and architectural features and public art sculpture. He is not taking any new commissions, or any new work. The shop was designed and built in 1998, and expanded in 2005, to be a creative space for his work as a designer-craftsman in metals. In 2008 and again in 2014 specialized equipment was acquired with financial assistance from the WV Division of Culture & History and the National Endowment for the Arts. For almost 25 years, the shop was the home of Anvil Works, LLC, which was dissolved and went out of business in January 2023.
