Assistive Robotics, LLC

Assistive Robotics is an early-stage startup venture focused on personal mobility solutions for residential and clinical customers. Assistive Robotics develops smart and lower-tech devices to improve the stability and mobility of persons who may be prone to falls. We believe that by providing support to persons as they rise to their feet from a sitting position, we will be able to prolong our customers ability to remain in their homes as they age. Our preliminary research indicates that when many persons with compromised strength attempt to get up from a seated position, they are less able to maintain self-stabilization, and the risk of falling increases. We are currently in customer discovery mode to learn more about this problem so we can focus on solutions that best meet the needs of our customers. We are looking to interview individuals in the following categories (or anyone who may have relevant insight): Persons who have difficulty rising from a sitting position without compromising their stability; Family members who provide care to loved ones living at home; Physical/occupational therapists and those who make equipment purchasing decisions; Retailers and distributors of home medical and clinical rehabilitation equipment. If you or someone you know is willing to participate in a 20-minute interview to explore possible approaches to enhancing the independence of our elder and less able citizens, please contact us, and we will follow up accordingly.
