Bohl Companies

Bohl Crane began as Cleveland Tramrail Toledo ninety years ago, in 1924. Founder Henry Bohl was a former teacher turned brass foundry manager who was fascinated by the emerging technology of mass-production foundries. Envisioning a promising future for material handling, he formed his own company and began selling simple monorails. Now known as Bohl Crane, the companys product line has evolved to include specialized monorails, cranes, and lifters that can move just about any product, either manually or automatically. Solutions can also be custom designed by the Bohl Crane engineering department. Henry Bohl branched out into the forklift side of material handling when his son Richard joined the company in the 1950s. Upon its founding in 1952, Bohl Equipment Co. partnered with Hyster Company to become an authorized dealer and has been offering a full line of products ever since. Expanding again in 2012, Bohl Equipment now offers the Yale equipment line out of their Fort Wayne location. With the fourth generation leaping into the technological age, Bohl Machine was founded in 2013 to offer our customers a complete range of machining, fabricating, and engineering services. Operating under the philosophy of Always do more than the customer expects, Bohl is known for their high quality equipment and prompt knowledgeable service. By working together, the companies are able to provide clients with solutions for almost any material handling need. Now in its fourth generation, Bohl is one of the oldest family owned materials handling companies in the country and is proud to continue in Henrys footsteps.
