Comptech, formerly known as CTM Products, was established in 1978 as a precision engine rebuilding company specializing in Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW automobiles. The company ventured into motorsports, winning multiple national championships and collaborating with various automotive manufacturers like Renault, Jeep Sport, American Honda, Acura, General Motors, Toyota, and Saturn for development and racing programs. Comptech's achievements include winning prestigious races like the 24 hours of Daytona and 12 hours of Sebring, as well as leading the development test team for Honda's Indycar Engine program. Additionally, Comptech has diversified its services to include work for clients in watersports and medical products, and in 2004, acquired the SkySki Hydrofoil company, relocating it to Redding for in-house manufacturing.
