DryKeep

Utilities across the globe are faced with reductions in capital spending, retirement of experienced personnel, and crippled maintenance budgets. Traditional maintenance on substation transformers is reactive rather than proactive; using portable units to dry out the oil and cellulose insulation. This requires reoccurring maintenance expenses that only address a problem that has already occurred. Meanwhile, moisture continues to perpetually build-up inside the transformer, making portable intermittent dry-outs at best an ineffective remedy, and at worst a considerable waste of valuable dollars. DryKeep is a SMART, permanently installed, online dry-out system that provides proactive, cost-efficient maintenance & life extension for power transformers. DryKeep removes previously accumulated moisture and continuously keeps the oil and cellulose insulation dry so that it is never damaged by moisture again. Integrated moisture-in-oil sensors eliminate oil sampling errors and compensate for the dynamic nature of moisture migration between the paper and oil. With SCADA-ready instrumentation and simple installation, DryKeep integrates seamlessly with any network. Intelligent controllers ensure system integrity and the SMART instrumentation panel displays oil temperature, flow integrity, incoming & outgoing moisture in oil in PPMs, and estimated percentage moisture in paper, giving an accurate and real-time picture of moisture levels under actual operating conditions with trend analysis and data logging. DryKeep's monitoring and control system can generate visual, and remote alarms to signal a call to action, and can shut down the system as necessary. Saturated cylinders can be returned for regeneration or can be regenerated on-site and can be changed while the transformer remains energized. Made in the USA, DryKeep saves time and money through reduced maintenance and deferred CAPEX for transformer replacement. Moisture in the enemy...DryKeep is the answer!
