From our humble beginnings serving the residents of Chicagos historic Pilsen neighborhood, the mission of El Popocatepetl Tortillas has always been to honor the ancient tradition of making masa, with only the finest ingredients. We even use red, blue, and other heirloom corns from Mexico in private label production. El Popo has 120 employees, currently offers around 30 different products, and manufactures over 2 million tortillas a day.
