Mission Statement: Developing People While Defeating TB Since 1955 Firland Foundation operates with two goals; 1) To provide employment for people with disabilities through the operation of the Firland Workshop. The purpose is to provide employees opportunities to be self-supporting, so that they may lead productive and independent lives. 2) To use the income generated from the workshop to provide grants directed toward the funding of research and treatment to tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases, to build regional capacity, and to support advocacy for the control and elimination of TB. Certifications: ISO 9001:2015/AS9100D Workshop Capabilities: We specialize in high & low volume manufacturing, using our OMAX Water Jet, Amada 357 Queen Turret Punch, Amada RG-5020 Brake Press equipment and 2-Sharp 4-Axis Vertical Milling Centers, along with 4 other mill centers, while focusing on tight tolerance, high-quality sheet metal and machined parts and assemblies primarily for aerospace. Capabilities include traditional milling, bending, cutting, punching, drilling, fabrication, de-burring, lathe, riveting, bonding and assembly. Production and assembly of sheet metal, rubber, plastics, foam, and various other non-metallic materials. Fully certified in ground stud assembly and verification. We employ highly dedicated and skilled machine and CNC operators, de-burrers, packers, ink-jet labeling and assemblers. Deployment of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing quality management and process practices. Over 55 years of high-quality aircraft parts production.
