The Georgia Tech Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) provides no-cost energy, productivity, and waste assessments to small and medium-sized industrial facilities in Georgia, North Florida, and South Carolina. The Center, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy, serves manufacturing clients and consists of faculty and student engineers from Georgia Tech, Florida A&M, and Florida State University. Since the 1980s, the IAC has conducted thousands of assessments, identifying at least 10% energy savings for each client. Services include on-site visits, data gathering, customized reports with energy/cost savings recommendations, and follow-up discussions to assist with implementation.
