Many competitors only use two layers of less dense 2lb cross-linked polyethylene foam which makes it easy to rip and tear. Having a denser foam in the middle of our raft makes the product more buoyant and easier to roll up after use. 2) All of our floating water mats contain UV additives, so it will not degrade in the sun. (If you have ever seen a pool noodle break down in the sun, that is a result of it not being UV-protected). 3) Our water mats are yellow for safety purposes.
