The family run company employs more than 900 employees, more than five percent of them in the field of research and development. In 2014, a turnover of approximately 155 million Euro was achieved. Motorenfabrik Hatz GmbH Co. & KG was founded by Mathias Hatz in 1880. From the original repair business for agricultural machines and locomotives, it has developed into a globally active company which includes diesel engine construction, contract manufacture of conrods and crankshafts as well as system construction. The family company comprises three plants, 13 of its own subsidiaries, 114 Hatz agents in 120 countries and more than 500 service centers worldwide.
