Hawkeye Gymnastics is a gymnastics program that evolved from the University of Iowa’s Department of Recreational Services Lesson Programs in 1996. It offers recreational and competitive gymnastics for girls, with a focus on profitability and quality service. The program was converted to a private business in 2002 and has since grown significantly. Hawkeye Gymnastics provides gymnastics instruction, coaching, and leadership in preschool, recreational, and competitive gymnastics. Their mission is to promote the value of gymnastics for human development and encourage safe participation and excellence in the sport.
