Kooima Company began in 1988 as a stamping job shop, owned by John and Phil Kooima, a father/son partnership. In 2008, John Kooima retired, and Phil Kooima became the sole owner of the company. In October 1993, Kooima Company installed its first laser cutter. Since then, Kooima Company has specialized in laser cutting steel. The metal fabricating business has grown from a small building with 16,000 sq. ft., to a large facility with over 250,000 sq. ft. of production and warehouse space.
