Lilywork Artisan Tile
Specialty tile designers, Paul and Esther Halferty, established Lilywork Artisan Tile in 2006. Together they are committed to continuing the craftsman tradition of making all their own molds, glazes, and tiles by hand. In their Old Lyme, CT studio, it takes two to three weeks to press, dry, glaze, and fire each tile. Culture and history gleaned from travels abroad are primary inspiration for the Halfertys design process. One of their latest collections, Mariner, takes its cues from New Englands seafaring past and present, incorporating whales, ships, fish and other maritime icons.
