Jim Manuel founded Manuel's Iron Works (now known as MANUEL IRON WORKS AND TIRES) in 1977 as a one-man metal shop that fabricated fireplace inserts and racks. He quickly moved on to repair work and the fabrication of small parts. To accommodate our continual growth, the company moved to three different locations between 1977 and 1987. In 1994, we moved to our current location on Indiana Avenue, which allowed us to expand our facility to support the growing manufacturing business. Jim Manuel was known to many as the Welding Doctor. His talent in fabricating and design was exceptional, he had a vision that most fabricators do not gain. He was proud of the business he had built from scratch. Jim passed away in June of 2012. His wife Regina with the help from Jim Manuels number 1 welder Oscar she keeps the legacy going and now runs the business with great pride. Oscar Hernandez with over 25 years of welding and fabricating. He has been number 1 welder for the last 16 years with Jim Manuels Ironworks. Oscar oversees the day to day operations of the shop. Regina Jim is missed by all but I carry on the pride and the ethics that Jim had for his welding shop. I have learned a lot about the business and have brought new ideas to life.
