The Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) Program, sponsored by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), develops and provides high-reliability, military-quality microcircuits for defense applications. AME offers Form, Fit, and Function (FFF) solutions at the digital component level, including logic devices, ASICs, FPGAs, memory devices, and more. Their technologies enable the consolidation of multiple digital components into a single microcircuit, ensuring lifetime supportability for board level/system upgrades and new designs. AME's capabilities include Sea-of-Gates CMOS arrays, advanced bipolar technologies, netlist extraction systems, and the manufacturing of ICs in a Trusted wafer foundry. The program focuses on addressing microcircuit obsolescence and supporting weapon system life cycles.
