In 1884, Southern Canvas, a small business specializing in the manufacture of tents, awnings, tarps and other canvas products was founded to serve Nashville and its surrounding areas. It was renamed Nashville Tent & Awning Co. by owner H.G. Husband and today continues to be owned/operated by the fourth generation of the Husband family! Over the years, Nashville Tent & Awning Co. has expanded to serve not only the Nashville area, but also customers on the East Coast, West Coast, as far north as Canada and as far south as the Caribbean. Our dedication to superior craftsmanship and the steadfast work ethic of our workers (many of whom have been with us for 10, 20, 30 and 40+ years and are like family) have kept the company going for over 120 years. Our customers are part of this family, too, and we hope to be serving those same customers and their families for many years to come.
