One Computer One Child is a non-profit (501c3) educational initiative that uses computers as a subtext to promote the education and further learning of individuals, families and communities through the use of technology. Along with educational programs such as our digital literacy class, virtual mentoring, tutoring, workforce development and distant learning classes, our goal is to provide each "child" with a take home computer, broadband access and provisioning to the internet, along with educational content and software applications. This simple effort becomes a stimulating and life changing experience for One "child, in turn One family, and One community at a time! Since 2005, OCOC has provided technology to underprivileged children, families, Schools, educational centers and various organizations in the form of refurbished computers, low cost computers and accessories. As a byproduct of our initiative, our quest is to help bridge the digital divide one computer at a time!School based initiative.
