Having provided services for over 80 years, People’s Electric Cooperative (PEC) is a rural electric generation, transmission, and distribution cooperative serving approximately 16,000 members in 11 south-central Oklahoma counties. PEC distributes electricity 24/7 to over 23,000 locations, offering services such as prepaid metering options, surge suppression, rebate programs, and convenient bill payment methods. The cooperative is consumer-owned and non-profit, returning profits to members through capital credits. Members also participate in electing Board Members and establishing Bylaws that govern cooperative operations.
