At PowerBottle, at least once per day we are asked what made you decide to create the 64 oz. PowerJug? It is actually a simple answer. Medical research suggests everyone needs approximately 128 ounces of fluids each day. So we made a mockup of a 128 oz. bottle resembling an office water cooler, figuring it was easy to count to 1 drink one full bottle of water and you have met your daily hydration needs. However, the problem was that a 128 oz. bottle was big and it wasnt going to be cheap to manufacture. Worse yet, filled with water it was heavy - almost 10 lbs. Try clipping that to your book bag. So we scaled it down and made a 64 oz. version, molded a handle into it and boom, the PowerJug was born. After 20 years, over 10 million PowerJugs have been sold all over the world. We manufacturer three sizes of sports water bottles for active people: the 64 oz. PowerJug, a 32 oz. PowerBottle and a 20 oz. BikeBottle. Our patented, one-finger flip-to-close slide action top, covers a medical-grade, clean drinking straw on all of our bottles. In addition we offer two types of water filters that can be added to the bottles. One to removed chlorine odor and taste and the other additionally removes lead. The easy-flow filter chlorine filter is made from ground coconut shells and is tested to standard 42 (chlorine reduction) for a minimum of 40 gallons. Our bottles are made from BPA, DEHA, and DEHP free, recyclable, FDA approved materials. For custom applications, we offer a wide assortment of colored tops and flips to match client artwork that we can silk screen imprint onto the bottles.
