We start with a helicopter view of your plant, i.e. we look at all the inputs, outputs, current known issues, solutions that are tried, etc. Then we zoom in to look at your entire manufacturing process, inventories (raw materials, WIP inventory at each step, and finished goods), reject rate at each step, dependencies, and many such reads according to our proprietary process. Then we conduct a very detailed tour of your manufacturing plant and scrutinize all operations with a laser sharp focus. We check specifications, ask questions, check procedures, processes, fluidity in communications, inventories, data acquisition/handling methods, dependencies, maintenance (proactive and reactive), synchronization among various functions, sources for any of the 7 types of wastes (Lean), continuous improvement process/efforts, and so on. We identify issues, inconsistencies, disconnects, opportunities, solutions, etc. We cover all functions incoming quality, scheduling, assembly, testing, QA/QC, packaging, shipping, maintenance, warehouse, etc. We scrutinize assembled units from different shifts on different days and detect issues regarding repeatability, workmanship, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and many other criteria, followed by CAPA. (Corrective and Preventive Actions) We also specify, procure, modify (add features and/or new functionality), automate, test, install and integrate machines and equipment in production lines. Basically, we understand your needs and translate them into technical specifications. We select vendors and negotiate lowest possible price for each machine, monitor progress, conduct FAT after each machine is built, and once its received at your site, we install and integrate all the machines in your line. We run the tests and adjust various parameters to ensure smooth line operation.
