On January 2, 2015, Desco Industries, Inc. of Chino, California purchased the assets of the 3M Static Control business, thereby creating Desco Industries newest brand: SCS the largest manufacturer of Static Control products in North America. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer that spans from raw materials to finished products, providing unique control over the supply chain, product development, manufacturing, and quality management. Our manufacturing capabilities allow us to make specialty films and bags on-site at our Sanford, NC facility, including the broadest range of static control shielding and barrier bags. The acquisition of Credence Technologies in 2006 led to the development of high-end monitoring equipment for ESD control compliance. The equipment is used to create a comprehensive SCS Static Management Program (SMP) to help electronic manufacturers manage their ESD program using a system of test equipment/software to monitor ESD control compliance in real-time, and designed to improve the customer's product quality, production yields, and reliability. Although some changes have been made, our philosophy remains the same. We continue to offer a full line of Static Control products, using the same product numbers, manufactured by the same people.
