Shinagawa Advanced Materials, formerly FMP, Inc., specializes in producing custom formulated mold powders since the mid-1980s. Through a licensing agreement with Shinagawa Refractories Company of Japan, they have developed technologically advanced continuous casting mold powders. In 2006, FMP was acquired by Shinagawa Refractories and rebranded as Shinagawa Advanced Materials, Inc. They offer a range of domestically made mold powders and supply products from Shinagawa Refractories. Their North American Production facility in Mogadore, Ohio, houses manufacturing systems and a Quality Assurance Testing Laboratory, providing customers with quality, consistency, and productivity in steel production.
