Castings are essentially comprised of three things: Geometry, Metallurgy, and Technology. We have developed new technology that we call AMEC (Additive Manufacturing Evaporative Casting). This technology allows us to achieve tolerances of +/- 0.005" for the first inch and +/-0.003" thereafter (less than a hair's width per inch). With proper mold design, +/- 0.002" is often possible. This is as good or better than lost wax investment casting but is more cost effective, quicker, and much more environmentally friendly.
