Why should people have to choose between sustainability and comfort for something that naturally occurs every month? The Plug is a menstrual company that redefines the use of tampons by integrating environmental and social change into the daily lives of tampon users. We have created a reusable tampon applicator and the first-ever hemp-based tampon to combat single-use plastic and contributions to unsustainable agricultural practices. Our applicators are made of medical-grade silicone and come in a dual-purpose case with a sanitizing mechanism and tampon storage. Our products will be available online and in retail stores and can be bought through individual purchases or a subscription service. We recognize that everyone with a uterus gets a period at some point in their life, but not everyone can afford it. Thats why, with every purchase of our tampons, a box will be donated to a womens or homeless shelter. We want to raise the standard of our periods by allowing customers to help the environment while helping others.
