Founded in 1945, the International Society of Automation is a leading, global, nonprofit organization that is setting the standard for automation by helping over 30,000 worldwide members and other professionals solve difficult technical problems, while enhancing their leadership and personal career capabilities. The ISA publishes technical standards on automation, manufacturing and cyber security, and conducts technical symposia on these topics while coordinating with like-entities (IEC) around the globe. Our Twin Cities Section, which began March 10 1947, supports diverse industries that span geographically from Bismark North Dakota to Eau Claire Wisconsin. Industrially they represent Agriculture, Manufacturing, Software Development, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage, Automotive, Defense and new-emerging technologies, all of which deliver invaluable networking opportunities to our members and prospective members. From our monthly Board of Directors meetings that are open to the public, to our classes on ISA technical standards and other professional education opportunities, we are an active chapter looking to engage and help our membership develop their technical expertise and advance their careers.
