The Virginia Distillers Association, founded in 2016 by members of the Virginia spirits industry, is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the regulatory, legislative, and promotional environments for Virginia distillers. Their mission is to foster economic growth and educational opportunities within the Virginia spirits industry. The association advocates for the interests and concerns of distillers, supporting over five dozen Virginia distilleries to thrive today. They offer diverse experiences in spirits production, including Bourbon, Whiskey, Vodka, Gin, and more, reflecting the Commonwealth's rich heritage in distilling. Additionally, the association promotes the Virginia Spirits Trail, showcasing distilleries across different regions of Virginia and providing spaces for discovery through tours, tasting rooms, and events.
