In March of 2008, Nisshin Steel acquired all outstanding shares formerly held by Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Wheeling-Nisshin changed its trade name to NS Wheeling-Nisshin in April of 2019, and then eventually to WHEELING-NIPPON STEEL in April of 2020 in accordance with the step-wise merger of our parent company into NIPPON STEEL CORPORATION.
